The company which owns the old Lesmahagow High School site could develop the site for a retail outlet. Muse Developments, were initially going to develop the site as residential, however, the down-turn in the housing market means that that option is no longer viable. Although plans are in their early stages, they are now looking to build a supermarket on the site. It seems highly unlikely that this development and Tesco's proposed development at the truck stop will both go ahead
